Commission & Fees
Global Seller Commission Reference · Platform Fees · Referral Structures · Compliance
AqNova operates a transparent, standards-based commission and fee structure. There are no hidden charges. No listing fees charged per product. No ad spend required for discovery. Your fee is a subscription, and a commission only on what you sell. Everything else is included.
This reference document covers every product category and service type on the AqNova marketplace — from organic pantry staples to electric vehicles, from wellness coaching to renewable energy installations. If you sell it sustainably and it is verified, there is a commission rate for it here.
“You only pay commission when you sell. Everything else is your subscription.”
Subscription Plans & Commission Overview
All vendor commissions are applied as a percentage of the net sale price (excluding applicable taxes and shipping). Commission rates are tier-dependent based on product category, average order value, and vendor plan. The table below summarizes commission and subscription parameters by plan.
| Subscription Plan | Commission Rate | Monthly Fee | Priority Placement | Market |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PAYG Standard | 10% – 15% | $19.99/mo | N/A | Standard |
| PAYG Africa | 10% – 15% | $9.99/mo | N/A | African Markets |
| Premium Standard | 7% – 9% | $39.99/mo | Yes | Standard |
| Premium Africa | 7% – 9% | $26.99/mo | Yes | African Markets |
No listing fees. No per-product charges. No advertising required for organic placement. Commission is applied only when a sale is completed and confirmed.
How Commission Works
Base Commission
The base commission is a percentage of the confirmed sale price (net of taxes). Rates vary by product tier, reflecting average order value, vendor margin profile, and product category. Lower-AOV, high-frequency categories carry lower percentage rates but generate strong absolute dollar volume through repeat purchasing. Higher-AOV and higher-margin categories carry higher percentage rates, reflecting the premium placement and verification infrastructure supporting those categories.
Commission is Calculated On
✓ The confirmed sale price of the product (excluding applicable taxes and shipping)
✓ Commission is deducted from the payout to the vendor following sale confirmation
✓ Subscription fees are separate from and in addition to commission
✓ Returns and refunds: commission is reversed on confirmed refunds consistent with AqNova’s Refund and Returns Policy
What Commission Does Not Cover
✓ Subscription fees are not included in commission calculations — they are billed separately on the applicable billing cycle
✓ Shipping and logistics costs are separate from commission unless AqNova logistics infrastructure is used, in which case a logistics service fee applies
✓ Placement fees for premium campaign participation are separate, optional, and applicable only to Premium plan vendors
✓ Service referral lead fees (applicable to Tier 10 services) are flat or revenue-share based and are disclosed separately in service referral agreements
Complete Commission Rate Reference

Service Referral Fees — Tier 10 Detail
Tier 10 covers professional services and third-party referrals — categories where AqNova acts as a qualified lead generator or platform connector rather than a direct product marketplace. These include health and wellness practitioner services, sustainability consulting, electric vehicle purchase referrals, and renewable energy installation referrals. Fee structures in Tier 10 differ from standard commission and are detailed below.
Health & Wellness Service Referrals
— Nutritionists & Registered Dietitians: Commission of 20% – 28% on session packages and subscription plans. Services must be delivered by a licensed or credentialed practitioner in the applicable jurisdiction. Certification verification required at onboarding.
— Wellness & Health Coaches: Commission of 22% – 30% on coaching program packages. Practitioners must hold recognized professional certifications (ICF, NBHWC, or regional equivalents). Documentation required.
— Mental Health Therapists & Counsellors: Referral commission of 15% – 20% on confirmed session bookings. Therapists must hold applicable licensure in their operating jurisdiction (e.g., LCSW, LPC, MFT in the US; BACP/UKCP in the UK; equivalent in all other jurisdictions). AqNova acts as referral facilitator only; the therapeutic relationship is entirely between practitioner and client.
— Naturopaths, Herbalists & Holistic Practitioners: Commission of 18% – 25% on confirmed consultation packages. Practitioners must hold applicable professional credentials and comply with applicable scope-of-practice regulations in their operating jurisdiction.
— ESG & Sustainability Courses: Commission of 20% – 30% on digital course and certification program sales. Course content must be verified against applicable sustainability education standards.
Electric Vehicle & Clean Mobility Referrals
AqNova operates as a qualified lead generation platform for electric vehicle and clean mobility purchases. Referral arrangements are structured as flat lead fees per qualified referral, with additional revenue-share on financing and insurance products arranged through partner networks.
— Consumer EV Purchase Referral: Flat fee of $100 – $300 per qualified consumer EV purchase lead delivered to an authorized EV manufacturer, dealer, or reseller partner. A qualified lead is defined as a consumer who initiates a purchase process through the AqNova referral link and confirms purchase within the defined attribution window. Lead fee is invoiced to the EV partner, not charged to the consumer.
— Fleet & Commercial EV Referral: Flat fee of $200 – $500 per qualified fleet or commercial EV purchase lead. Fleet referrals require a minimum of 3 units to qualify for the lead fee. Commercial fleet agreements may carry negotiated flat or volume-based referral structures.
— EV Financing Referral: Revenue-share of 1% – 3% on financed purchase value for consumer EV transactions facilitated through AqNova’s financing partner network. Financing partners are independently regulated financial institutions; AqNova acts as referral facilitator only.
— EV Insurance Referral: Revenue-share of 1% – 2% on confirmed EV insurance policy premiums placed through AqNova’s insurance partner network. Insurance partners hold applicable regulatory authorizations in all operating jurisdictions.
Renewable Energy Referrals
— Solar Installation Service Referrals: Flat fee of $100 – $400 per qualified solar installation lead delivered to an authorized installation partner. A qualified lead requires confirmed homeowner or commercial operator interest, site assessment scheduled, and lead delivered within the attribution window.
— Home Energy Audit Referrals: Flat fee of $50 – $150 per confirmed home or commercial energy audit booked through AqNova’s authorized auditor partner network.
— B2B Enterprise & Wholesale: Referral structures for enterprise sustainability programs, wholesale supply arrangements, and fleet contracts are individually negotiated. Contact AqNova’s vendor partnerships team for enterprise referral terms.
All Tier 10 referral arrangements require a signed Service Referral Agreement prior to activation. Referral fees are payable to AqNova by the receiving service partner, not charged to the consumer or patient. AqNova does not provide the underlying service and assumes no liability for service delivery outcomes.
Premium Placement & Campaign Fees (Optional)
Premium placement and campaign participation is an optional, additional revenue layer available exclusively to Premium Seller plan vendors. It is not required for marketplace participation and does not affect organic discovery for any vendor. The following placement types are available:
— Category Spotlight Placement: Available in eligible high-visibility category positions. Pricing: $50 – $500 per placement cycle depending on category and duration. Requires Premium plan and verified certification status in the relevant category.
— Featured Collection Inclusion: Curated seasonal and thematic collections (sustainability spotlights, gift guides, launch campaigns). Pricing: $200 – $2,000 per collection feature. Selection is editorial-reviewed; placement is not guaranteed on application.
— Vendor Spotlight & Founder Campaign: Email, social, and platform-native vendor storytelling campaigns. Pricing: $500 – $5,000 per campaign. Available on invitation and application basis to Premium vendors with verified certification depth.
— Campaign Takeover & Launch Feature: Full platform or category launch features for major product drops, new market entries, or brand campaigns. Pricing: $2,000 – $50,000 depending on scope and market. Negotiated individually for high-value brand partnerships.
All placement fees are quoted exclusive of applicable taxes. VAT, GST, or equivalent consumption taxes will be applied where required by applicable law in the vendor’s billing jurisdiction.

✓ AqNova does not charge listing fees per product. Subscription fees and commission on sales are the only standard charges applicable to vendor accounts.
✓ Optional placement fees are voluntary. Non-participation in paid placement does not affect a vendor’s organic discovery ranking.
✓ Commission is calculated on confirmed, completed sales only. Returns, refunds, and chargebacks are handled in accordance with AqNova’s Refund, Returns & Dispute Policy.
✓ Applicable taxes on platform fees (VAT, GST, digital services taxes) are applied in accordance with the laws of the vendor’s billing jurisdiction and disclosed on all invoices.
✓ Vendor financial data, payment records, and commission calculations are processed in compliance with applicable data privacy law in every operating jurisdiction.
✓ AqNova operates as a marketplace facilitator for sales tax / VAT collection purposes in all jurisdictions where applicable law requires. Vendors are not required to separately register for, collect, or remit sales tax on AqNova marketplace sales in applicable marketplace facilitator jurisdictions.
